Visa Overview
The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is a pathway to Canadian permanent residence for skilled workers with eligible work experience, education and language abilities. Applications are managed through Express Entry.
Applicants must meet the program's eligibility requirements and achieve at least 67 points out of 100 under the FSW selection factors before entering the Express Entry pool. Meeting the 67-point requirement does not guarantee an invitation to apply.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, applicants generally need to:
Skilled Visa Requirements
- Have eligible skilled work experience
- Meet the required language proficiency in English or French
- Have an eligible educational qualification
- Obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for foreign education, where required
- Meet the minimum 67/100 FSW selection points
- Meet admissibility requirements
- Have sufficient settlement funds, unless an applicable exemption applies
- Meet the requirements for entry into the Express Entry pool
